Tuckerbean at the Movies by Jill Kalz is a part of a series featuring a large shaggy white dog that walks occasionally upright. In this story, while his owner is out, Tuckerbean goes to the movies which just happen to be all about him! Thus, he has quite the series of adventures sitting and eating popcorn. I have to admit that I was a wee bit confused as to whether Tuckerbean was dreaming or actually doing such things, particularly since the movie is named after him. There are no definitive indicators in the story (although his owner says he smells like popconr), although perhaps there are clues in other Tuckerbean books I haven't read. Nonetheless, the illustrations were engaging and colorful, which made the story enjoyable. I'd gauge the reading level at grades 1-3.
