Elmer and the Lost Teddy

Elmer and the Lost Teddy by David McKee is part of the Elmer series. What makes Elmer special is that he's an elephant covered in rainbow patches--rather a shocking sight. In this story, Elmer's friend has lost his teddy. Elmer lends his friend his teddy while he embarks on a search. Much like Agatha Christie, a myriad of clues are dropped by the author along the way so you know what's coming, i.e. what tricks will be played on Elmer. It's a cute story, which features lots of bears, cute baby animals, and colorful illustrations. There is something a bit peculiar about the eyes on the animals, particularly the elephants, but it doesn't distract too much from the enjoyment of this book. Source: Library Book
